"RaD Adventures" is a network of podcasts focused on adventure comics with hosts Ruth and Darrin. Shows include "Trekker Talk" about 23rd century bounty hunter Mercy St Clair from Ron Randall's "Trekker"; "Warlord Worlds" which covers the comics of Mike Grell including "The Warlord", "Jon Sable", and "Green Arrow: The Longbow Hunters"; and "Xenozoic Xenophiles" about the Cadillacs and Dinosaurs comic "Xenozoic Tales" by Mark Schultz. Episodes feature story summaries and art discussions as well as creator interviews.
In our presentation, we will discuss the comics covered in all three of our podcasts. We'll also talk about the interactions we've had with creators Ron Randall, Mike Grell, and Mark Schultz because of the podcasts. Other topics will include the importance of strong female characters in our shows from sci-fi bounty hunter Mercy St Clair in "Trekker" to scientist and tracker Hannah Dundee in "Xenozoic Tales" as well as the heroines of Mike Grell's comics including Black Canary from "Green Arrow" and Tamara from "Starslayer".
