Hey folks! Mike Fatum here, I'm the creator of The League of Swords, which is a live action sword fighting experience combining the best aspects of fighting games and professional wrestling with highly choreographed sword fights. We launched earlier this year, and would love to present at Silicon. You can check out our work at leagueofswords.com. There's two things I would love to submit: 1) A panel on sword fight choreography, which I'd call, "Stick 'Em With the Pointy End: How Sword Fights in Movies Work." That would be a panel of professional fight choreographers from stage, screen, and even local lightsaber guilds, talking about how to build a fight and what makes some of our favorite fights in films work. 2) A live stage show of the League of Swords, in which several of our colorful characters would appear, interact with the crowd, and of course battle to the (fake) death for your amusement. Imagine a pro wrestling show, but with characters from every dimension and time period you can think of, and sword fights instead of wrestling. We have pirates, video game bosses, regency era gentlemen, alien hunters, and more. Thanks - I would love the chance to get to present our stuff at your show!
