The OutlanderBTS Lasses will be live in Chicago, and ready to talk Outlander Seasons 6 & 7 and Bees with you on Saturday, Oct 16, from 4:30PM to 5:15PM in the room (in between your Duncan Lacroix and Sam Heughan photo ops!). The OutlanderBTS panel has been together for two seasons (4 years) discussing all things Outlander. We come from diverse backgrounds and bring our unique expertise in law, science, medicine, and journalism to our discussions of the Outlander books and TV series. Most importantly, we like to laugh and have fun, so come join us for a rousing discussion! Courtney Williams - founder and producer of Outlander Behind The Scenes (outlanderbts.com) - Courtney does Outlander cast and crew interviews, (she moderated the Sam Heughan panel for Wizard World NOLA 2020), hosts and produces the OutlanderBTS Episode Discussion Group, and writes for the blog. Courtney is a passionate equestrian and has a background in theatrical dance. She's a huge Outlander fan - books (since 2006), and through her blog has developed relationships with Diana and many of the cast, crew and production over her 7 year involvement with the show. Karmen Schmidt - is a pioneer woman and retired Professor of Human Anatomy, having taught almost 8,000 students of medicine in her 36 year career. She has written the Outlander Anatomy blog (https://www.outlanderanatomy.com/) for seven years. Her blogs examine Outlander books and TV series through the lens of anatomy and science. Karmen has posted numerous lessons and fun facts, along with multiple interviews and event summaries, (such as Wizard World NOLA 2020). Bring your questions about Outlander science and medicine and we will discuss! Antoinette Simmons - is a badass Criminal Defense Attorney, who earlier in life trained as an actor and is passionate about the performing arts. Antoinette is from Jamaica and is our spiciest panel member! She discovered Outlander during the airing of Season 2 and quickly read the books. She is an ardent supporter of the show and Diana Gabaldon, and loves her BTS sisters and our passionate, opinionated, and she hopes informative episode discussions. Catherine Toomer is a family practice, wellness and weight management doctor. She was born in the Midwest, raised in Kenya, and is an accomplished sketch artist, musician, and ex swimmer. Catherine is passionate about the music, medicine and wall colors in Outlander! Unfortunately Catherine will not be joining us this weekend in Chicago, and she will be missed. :(
