Fun Faces (Markon)

Classroom #03 Kerry Ballroom (2nd Floor)

Friday September 2, 2022 - 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm

In this class, we will learn how to paint fun and characterful faces on our miniatures. I will paint an example miniature, in this case a chibi, while giving you step-by-step instructions and feedback as you follow along. Even though not everyone loves the chibi aesthetic, please trust me that the larger, cartoony face is ideally-suited for this class because it is both big enough for us to easily see while we work together on our miniatures and simple enough that it keeps the focus on the core aspects of what brings a face to life. The techniques we will learn apply to all miniatures with smaller faces as well, you just have a little less surface area to work with. Since most miniatures have faces, this a good class for all skill levels of painter, but you will get more out of the class the more brush control you have. Please bring your favorite brush (preferably a good Kolinsky sable one) and tons of zeal for learning!
