We will use a simple miniature as a demonstration and practice model to look at an underpainting approach to lighting effects on our minatures. I will demonstrate how to plan the lighting and shadows on a miniature from a foundational approach. I will demonstrate how to place the shadows first as a method of defining the lightsource. We will use layering as an approach so layering as a concept will be taught as part of this class.
