Podcasting is one of the most accessible forms of media and a good way to find representation for all marginalized groups. Historically, there hasn’t always been space available to Black nerds aka Blerds to share their geeky sides but in recent years the Blerd Community has grown, especially through podcasting. Join us as we discuss the importance of creating inclusive spaces for marginalized geeks and nerds and how podcasting has helped create community over fandoms, cosplay, and geek culture while Black and Brown.
