With over 500 million copies sold to date, Tetris is arguably the most Timeless Videogame of all time. So how did we get here? Come with me on a journey to Russia Circa 1984 as we unravel the story of "The Soviet Mind game", its creator Alexey Pajitnov, and the battle for the world's greatest videogame that would quickly ensue. This panel combines a history lecture as well as a PowerPoint presentation, and then a 10 minute demonstration clearing a game of "Modern" Tetris, as played by a Tetris XP Grandmaster.
