A.I. ARTIST SEEKS ATTORNEY

Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and More [Meeting Room #24]

Friday March 24, 2023 - 4:00 pm to 4:45 pm

Attorney, Justice Honor Lawman, leads the A.I.M.L.E.U. (Artificial Intelligence Machines Legal & Ethics Unit) Coalition, a group of legal professionals tasked by the city with reviewing and adjudicating legal matters dealing with artificial intelligence in attempts to mediate the issues privately, satisfy both parties' concerns, and issue communications to the public about best use guides for A.I. while maintaining public confidence and support in A.I. The presentation includes an inside peak into the Coalition's next meeting where they receive and discuss the facts and legal concerns of three referral cases. One such case, as an example, is about a seemingly innocent advertisement and tribute -Local car salesman and major House of Dragons fan, D.R. Agon, is super excited to receive a fleet of the newest super car on the market, the BLZ3. Though he primarily works in customer-facing sales, D.R. has a great idea for the marketing campaign for the new fleet. He’s no artist, but he’s heard about a new A.I. that “draws” images from text commands and apparently they’re pretty good. Agon types in descriptions for two of the show’s characters-“petite, fair-skinned, blonde girl in medieval clothes rides black dragon with red spots next to tall, athletic, white blonde-haired man, in medieval dress riding red dragon; realism, realistic art style.” The images turn out awesome. D.R. adds the text “With the BLZ3… fly like a Targaryen” and has the ads enlarged and printed on posters to hang around the dealership and post on billboards throughout the city. Proud of his work, he waits for the customers to call and flock in. A man walks in, “Are you D.R. Agon?” “Yes” “Mr. Agon, You’ve been served.” HBO is suing D.R.!
