Practical study in the mechanics and application of armed and unarmed self-defense techniques using Achille Marozzo's Opera Nova dell'Arte delle Armi text, published in 1536. Marozzo's text covers multiple weapons, the focus of this class is on the dagger. We will look at Marozzo's five plays on how to use a dagger and then review selected unarmed defensive actions against a dagger attack. The techniques and plays studied will have practice application in today's world.
