Comicpalooza 2017
Ever dream of making comics at your school? The kids from Manvel Comic Book Club at Manvel High School have created an annual comic book anthology every year for the past four years and they would like to help other schools create their own comic book clubs! Students will talk about the process through which they organize their individual comics, how they compile these pages into the final annual comic anthology, and the traditional and digital tools and approaches they use to do this. Their club sponsor, Sarah Hirsch, will also give information on writing grants, taking fees, and publishing options for creating the final comic. Resources for students and educators to create comic book clubs at their own schools will be provided.
