Real personal defense combat encompasses training in everything from weapons, followed by striking and then grappling. One of the weakest areas for most fighters, even within MMA, is being able to determine where the fight goes. For Military and Law Enforcement, staying on their feet is essential and the same outlook should be taken by civilians for personal defense. Even skilled grapplers face issues fighting on the ground in street combat, especially with weapons, concrete surfaces and potential multiple attackers. Knowing how to defend and counter various takedowns and throws is essential for personal defense and this class; instructed by Senseis Chris Hein (Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Aikido) and Carmine Downey (Black Belt in Japanese Judo/Jiu Jitsu, MMA/Sanda Coach and Krav Maga Instructor) will cover the fundamentals of how to do just that to keep the fight on your feet!
