Close Quarters Handgun Use and Retention (PDE)

Saturday July 27, 2024 - 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm

The handgun is one of the most common and effective personal defense tools carried daily in the world today; yet its use as a close quarter instrument is poorly understood and almost never practiced. This course will examine the use of the handgun in the same manner that Military, Law Enforcement and Elite Bodyguards do within a range of ten feet. Instruction will include how to draw, take different stances for the appropriate range and bring the weapon on target as well as how to retain the weapon during a close quarter attack. Note, this is NOT a shooting class. No live firearms or ammunition will be allowed in the classroom. Students are encouraged to bring their own blue guns, pistol belts and holsters, but trainers will be provided on a first-come-first-served basis.
