The gaming industry just had some of the worst layoffs in it's entire history in 2023, reaching well over 10,000, and 2024 is looking to match that with 6,000 layoffs only 3 months into 2024. This is a dire time for the gaming industry but there are so many people who still want to work in it- why? Because it is our lives and our passions. We love it. The gaming industry is filled with this mindset and it makes it a complete dream job for many involved, even as you work within it. After working within gaming for around 5 years, I've found everything professionals are looking for from college graduates to job applicants that makes them stand out. Let's talk about it!
