Comics! They're Not Just for Boys Anymore!

Room 211ABCD

Saturday April 22, 2017 - 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm

Today there are more women creating and reading comics than ever before, and what they are producing are original, entertaining comics for women and men. No longer can mainstream publishers and editors insist that “Girls don’t read comics!” A racially diverse panel of four women, each representing part of the comics industry (artists, writers, and a retailer) will discuss what to look for in comics by women today: what’s good and what’s even better, including their own work.
