The space station is considered a National Laboratory and hosts countless experiments that benefit life on Earth but it is also useful as a way to test out hardware that NASA will use for deeper exploration. This microgravity environment allows us to test new capabilities and improvements to such critical systems as life support, habitation and more that are critical as we extend beyond low Earth Orbit. The panel will discuss the lessons learned from BEAM and other technologies using the ISS as a testbed to path find new technologies needed as we journey to the Moon, Mars and Beyond.
