LEAD (Literacy Education in Adult Detention) With Comics is Pop Culture Classroom’s course for incarcerated men and women with the goal of improving their art and literacy skills. Literacy education is one of the best ways to keep inmates from returning to jail, and comics provide a wonderful gateway to the culture of literacy for these students. Panelists will discuss the methods and success of this innovative program!
