Denver Comic Con
Draw-off between a "realistic" and a "cartoony"-style comic book artist and a NASA engineer/science illustrator from Southwest Research Institute in Boulder. Audience members shout out suggestions for “sciency” things and then each artist draws their interpretations on a time-limit. For example, “Rocket Ship” or “Saturn” will yield different results among a science artist, a “realistic” comics artist, and a “cartoony” artist. Then they'll project their works of art to the crowd for a lively fun – way to show different artistic styles and ways of thinking of the universe!
