HOW VIDEO GAMES ARE HELPING US

Room 303

Sunday July 16, 2017 - 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Video games are more than entertainment, they help us build our own personal character traits like determination, problem-solving, and much more.

Video games allow us to create our own avatar, fight bad guys, and above all else come back from the dead. We can play them by ourselves or with a team to complete successful missions. How could video games potentially help us in the ‘real’ world? They can give us ways to experiment in the virtual world that can then lead to overcoming obstacles in our own ‘real’ world lives. We can learn determination, success, and build self-esteem. Video games are helping us and they can continue to help us even after we have turned them off.
