In an effort to make our application process as pain-free as possible, we have created the following guidelines to support you in your journey through this application process! Please use these instructions when completing your application for submission to our event. If you have any questions, please email scott@dmcomics.com

General Submission Guidelines

  • Priority is given to applicants who complete the entire application. Please answer all relevant questions as thoroughly as possible.
    We recommend that you check all of your links before submitting your application. If links do not work on your application, it is at GraniteCon’s discretion whether additional research will be completed to find the appropriate site.

  • If you will be sharing a table with another artist, please indicate that in the studio name and submit one application.

(Optional) PDF Submission Guidelines

An optional 5-page PDF portfolio may be submitted (we’d love if you do this!). Please save the PDF at pre-set (smallest file size). PDF should not be larger than 25MB. This PDF should include work that is current and up-to-date, best represents you - use the file upload

Guidelines

  • The Artist Guest Spot is intended to provide support to a diverse selection of artists who may be facing financial hardship, proving a beacon or mentor in their local community, deserving of wider recognition, a trailblazer, or simply fresh and new to the field.

  • Eight recipients are chosen and support varies, from discounted or free table to reimbursement for transportation and/or lodging. All guest spots will be a highlighted member of the show.

  • GraniteCon welcomes all to apply who would otherwise be prevented from attending GraniteCon. Guest Spots are intended to be used to participate at GraniteCon and not as funding for the completion of projects.

Requirements for the Artist Guest Spot:

  • Questions are required to be answered for consideration
  • Expressed financial hardship that would otherwise prevent attendance to GraniteCon
  • A passion for creation and comics
  • Examples of community activation and/or leadership
  • Demonstrates alignment with GraniteCon commitment to diversity

Information

CONVENTION SET UP: Friday Afternoon as well as Saturday Morning. Specific instructions will be sent 1 week prior to the event via email provided.

DISPLAYS: Please limit displays to no more than 8' in height.

ABSOLUTELY NO BOOTLEGS! Vendors/Artists Violating this rule will be asked to leave without a refund!

CANCELLATIONS: If you cancel your reservation prior to June 30, 2019, you will receive a full refund. From July 1, 2019 to August 31, 2019 you will receive a 50% refund. There after, no refunds will be given.

HOLD HARMLESS: By agreeing to exhibit at the Granite State Comicon, the dealer agrees to protect, keep and save the Granite State Comicon, LLC. and the Double Tree by Hilton, Center of New Hampshire forever harmless from any damage, loss, theft, cost, liability or expense that arises from their exhibiting at this show. This agreement covers full setup, run of the show and tear down. By completing this form you are indicating your approval of all information contained.


Terms and Conditions and Disclaimer

Bootleg or Unauthorized Merchandise Policy

Granite State Comicon does not permit or condone the sale of bootleg or unauthorized merchandise at the show. The sale and/or display of ANY merchandise shall ONLY BE ALLOWED, where the merchandise has been approved by the license holder for the property depicted and does not infringe on copyright or trademark laws. Merchandise including but not limited to: video, digital, DVD’s, CD’s, and artist’s renderings in any form or format, must not violate the rights of the rights- holder to the property.

By attending the Con as an Exhibitor, or by purchasing a table space in Artist Alley, you are agreeing to follow these guidelines and any violation may result in immediate expulsion from the convention without refund. Granite State Comicon works with law enforcement authorities, licensees, and rights holders to act against the sale of bootleg and unauthorized merchandise at this event.

Failure to comply may additionally be subject to prosecution by local, provincial, and federal authorities who will be given full access to this event

Bootlegging is described as the taking of established published artwork and or digital media and reproducing product for sale that is not owned.
