This is an application for sponsorship opportunities with Nickel City Con. Your application will be reviewed and you will receive an email within 10 business days.
Nickel City Con is Buffalo’s largest comic convention and has quickly become THE major Pop-Culture & Celebrity event in our area. Our con spans 3 days and allows your business unparalleled access to thousands of comic book, anime, toy, video game, movie, & television fans and collectors.
Our star power is unrivaled among events in the Buffalo area, affording you the opportunity to promote your brand alongside some of pop culture’s biggest celebrities, leading to unique marketing opportunities and brand awareness.
Nickel City Con drew over 15,000 fans to the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center in 2018 and 2019 is shaping up to be even bigger! Attendees of Nickel City Con range in age from infants all the way to fans in their 70s and 80s. This is truly a diverse, family-friendly event. We work closely with our sponsors to integrate any advertising authentically into our event so your company resonates with attendees before, during, and after the con.

Important Exhibitor Information
1. Exhibitor Booth Space (Main Show Floor)
- Exhibitors and artists must first apply for ONE type of booth located in a particular area of the show:

*An application does NOT guarantee booth space and space is not reserved until full payment has been made.
- Exhibitors who apply for booth space will receive a response email within 10 business days regarding status. If approved, exhibitor will receive an email with payment link.
- Each booth includes 2 Exhibitor Badges; additional badges are available for $15 each pre-sale or $20 each at the show.
- All Exhibitors & Artists must submit a completed ST-120 New York State and Local Sales And Use Tax form, which was effective June 1, 2018. (Form will be sent with an approval email)
- Electricity must be purchased directly through the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.
Terms and Conditions and Disclaimer
Exhibitor agrees to the Following Terms: The following terms are the terms and conditions for becoming an exhibitor and exhibiting at Nickel City Con 2019. The term “Event” refers to Nickel City Con, currently scheduled for May 17-19, 2019 (“Event Dates”) at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center (“Exhibit Facility”). The Event is owned, produced, and managed by Dave & Adam’s Card World (“DACW”).
1. ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Exhibitor expressly assumes all risks associated with their participation or presence at the Event, including, without limitation, all risks of theft, loss, harm, damage or injury to the person (including death), property, business or profits of Exhibitor, no matter the cause.
2. REFUND POLICY
Exhibitor understands and agrees that there are no refunds provided once tables have been purchased after April 19, 2019. Exhibitors who must cancel prior to March 1st will receive a 100% refund. Exhibitors who must cancel between March 1st – April 19th will receive a 50% refund. No tables are guaranteed until payment in full has been received.
3. EXHIBITOR OCCUPANCY POLICY
Exhibitor agrees to be set up within the predetermined load-in times at the Event, have their booth occupied during all hours the show floor is open, and not break down early. All booth representatives must wear identifications as provided by Nickel City Con. If you cannot attend Nickel City Con all 3 days for the full days/times, please do not apply.
4. COPYRIGHT POLICY
Exhibitors are not permitted to sell unlicensed or bootleg merchandise at Nickel City Con or any other merchandise not previously disclosed on your application. Exhibitors are also not permitted to play or permit the playing of, or distribution of any copyrighted material at the Event unless it has obtained all necessary rights and paid all required royalties. Failure to comply will result in ejection and banning from the convention.
5. COURTESY & DAMAGES POLICY
Exhibitor agrees to be courteous to their neighbors and to refrain from placing any unapproved signage or items outside of their designated floor space, to play loud music, or do anything that may be deemed disruptive to guests or fellow exhibitors at the Event. Exhibitor shall promptly pay for any and all damages to the Exhibit Facility or associated facility, booth equipment or the property of others so caused by Exhibitor.
6. CONTESTS/PROMOTIONS POLICY
Exhibitor understands that no raffles, promotions or prizes are allowed at Nickel City Con unless otherwise approved.
7. LISTINGS & PHOTOGRAPHS
By Exhibitor’s participation in the Event, Exhibitor expressly grants to DACW a fully paid, perpetual license to use, display and reproduce the name, trade names and product names of Exhibitor in any directory (print, electronic or other media) listing the companies at the Event and to use such names in promotional materials. Exhibitor agrees that DACW may also take photographs/video of Exhibitor’s booth space and personnel and use such photos/video for promotional purposes.
8. OBSERVANCE OF TAX LAWS
Exhibitors are responsible for meeting all New York State and Federal requirements with regards to tax filings and to hold their own insurance as it is not provided by DACW.
Exhibitor understands that electricity is purchased separately through the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center, not through Nickel City Con.
10. EXHIBIT SPACE PLACEMENT
Exhibitor understands that Nickel City Con management will do its best to accommodate your booth placement requests; however, they are subject to change.
Eambling is strictly prohibited at Nickel City Con. Violators will be subject to ejection from the show and future banning of the Exhibitor at the Event.
