Greater Austin Comic Con (GACC) Volunteers are a key component in making our show a success. You must be 18 or older to volunteer. Volunteer registration is done entirely online before the convention. We will not accept any volunteers on-site. We will have two meet-ups prior to the con and all volunteers must attend a minimum of one. Please read through this handbook in its entirety. We are a family friendly event and look forward to adding you to our Con-family!
By filling out this application, I am acknowledging that I am donating my time and or services of hours to be agreed upon by Greater Austin Comic Con in exchange for:
Access to the show that is equal to or greater than:
VIP admission
Food
Pre-signed photos (from past and current shows)
Other items to be determined at a later date.
Please note that acceptance as a volunteer member does not guarantee any specific type of placement within the event. Assignments will be based on need and individual ability.
Your conduct and behavior at the show is a reflection of the Greater Austin Comic Con, we will be monitoring everyone's behavior if we deem that your behavior is unbecoming of the show we have the right to remove you from the Volunteer. We will also ask that you return your badge.
There are certain things we take very serious, if someone is feeling harassed or bullied by staff, fans, vendors or guest we reserve the right to remove someone from the group dynamic for the rest of the convention. This may reflect on being accepted as a volunteer member for future conventions.
For the show, we need volunteer members that can provide ample time/services in assisting on one or both days. Associates providing the most flexibility will be given preference.
