Volunteer Application :: Basic Information

About the role of Volunteer

Thank you for applying to join our volunteer team at Board Game Bash!  Please fill out the application form so we can get you set up to help out at the convention.  We are requesting that volunteers work two 4-hour shifts during the convention.  In exchange, you get free admission to the convention!

The application will ask your availability to assist.  The biggest need is for assistance at the registration booth, which needs to be staffed throughout the event.  Please make sure that you are available for the times you leave open.  Once you are assigned to a shift, you are relied up on to be there, and not being on time can make things much harder for your fellow volunteers.  We won't schedule you for more than two 4-hour shifts, but making your self available for as much as possible is a huge help, and volunteers offering flexibility are more likely to be approved.  If you would like to work additional shifts, we'd be happy to have you!  Feel free to note that on your application.

Please contact us at info@boardgamebash.com if you have any questions!

Volunteer Terms and Conditions and Release

Board Game Bash volunteers are more than just people performing tasks.  You are the ones that represent the convention, and the ones that deliver the event to the attendees.  This convention has only grown on word of mouth, and you are the people who are making the experience for the people that come.  So the conventions reputation and future is in your hands.

Everyone that comes to Board Game Bash, including attendees, volunteers, staff, vendors, exhibitors, and more, agree to the convention's Code of Conduct, which, among other things requires respect for others and has no tolerance for harassment.  As a volunteer, this especially applies to you.  By filling out this application, you agree to uphold not only the Code of Conduct, but also to be the personification of what Above Board is:

Connection Through Gaming

Fair Play

A Space for Expression and Inclusion
