About the role of Volunteer

We need you!  We cannot have our events without volunteers!  We call our volunteers “HENCHMEN”, just for fun!  Do you have what it takes to be an HENCHMEN?  It’s a lot of fun, and this year you can get in FREE!  Check out how we will do things this year.

Volunteers are eligible for admission to GAME at a rate of a $5 discount for each 2 hour shift worked. Five two-hour shifts for a total of ten hours of time equals one free admission to GAME.

Perks include:

  • Free admission
  • Access to “The Lair” all weekend.  Take a nap, get food, relax.
  • Snacks and drinks from “The Lair”
  • Free Volunteer T-Shirt

  • Volunteer ten hours of time at GAME
  • Attend one planning meeting and meet either the Chairman or the Volunteer Director
    • If unable to attend a meeting, please have a REFERENCE from someone connected with G.A.M.E. EXPO.
  • Review training videos as they become available.

Volunteer Terms and Conditions and Release

All volunteers need to be 18 years or older.  Minors under 18 can sign-up with parental/guardian coordination through Chris Stuart or Taneesa Hall.

During your work shift you are required to represent Eclectic Endeavors and Gaming Arts Media & Entertainment Expo in a professional and courtesy manner.

If you do not show up for a shift and fail to communicate with either the Henchmen Wrangler on shift, Taneesa Hall, Chris Stuart -- you will be removed from the schedule and banned from future volunteer efforts.  We expect clear communication.  We know emergencies happen, but we will provide you with a phone number to call and let us know if something prevents you from fulfilling your shift.   No show, no calls will place you on our blacklist.

Eclectic Endeavors and Gaming Arts Media & Entertainment Expo is not responsible for accidents or injury during your shift.  We will do our best to ensure your work is in a safe environment and we do not ask you to do anything potentially causing injury.  We expect you to be careful and conduct yourself in a safe manner.
