RPG ::
Rated PG-13 :: Darkness rolls over the fair hills of the land of Edulain, and the people fall into despair; from the halls of the royal palace, the young Duchess Mairin has vanished, taken by forces of evil. Not all hope is lost, as the King has tracked the Duchess to a faraway mountain, and the entrance to an ancient, terrible labyrinth. There may yet still be time to save the fair lady Mairin, yet that time is swiftly running out. You, an experienced adventurer, are one of few close enough and brave (or perhaps foolish) enough to answer the King's plea for aid. Having been promised lavish rewards and the prestige of nobility should you succeed, the only question now is this: When diving into the unknown and facing the monsters within, will you falter, or prevail? This game will be running as a single session adventure, focused on an adventure into a dungeon. The goal of this game is to provide an immersive and highly enjoyable adventure, as well as to provide an introduction to fantasy tabletop RPGs and Pathfinder to those who may be new to the experience. The session will be long, lasting at least fours hours and possibly going as long as seven hours, so plan the day accordingly. Players will be playing 9th-level characters, using content available in the Core Rulebook. Pre-made player characters will be provided for those who aren't familiar with the game, and an hour will be reserved at the start of the session to allow for character creation from the rulebooks provided for those who wish to play a character they've created. Overall game time will be approximately six hours, including the time given for basic instruction and character generation, as well as breaks interspersed throughout the game. The adventure will be played to completion.
Game Experience Level
Intermediate
This game is welcoming to new players, but some basic understanding of role-playing and tabletop gaming is highly helpful, as very little time will be afforded during the game session to provide in-depth explanations of the rules. The focus of the game is to have fun, not to provide a rules dump every fifteen minutes.
