Science Slam is Vancouver’s most epic science showdown. Watch as scientists, students, educators, and communicators battle to share science with their captive audience. What's on the line? Pride, fame, eternal glory, and occasionally a prize or two.
Our competitors are selected from a slew of applications before our event. Our judges are a mashup of scientists, communicators, and entertainers from Vancouver’s top institutions. Competitors have 5 minutes to present on any science topic without the use of a projector and slides. They are judged on their ability to communicate science effectively.
