Elyse Reyes

Entertainment Guests & Panelists

Elyse Reyes is the Master of the Red Pen of Doom, Empress of Hyperbole and devoted acolyte of Sarcasm. They say laughter is the best medicine, and she is a devoted customer. Elyse believes that life should be a series of experiences that lead to great stories. Her goal is to have as many fun experiences as possible. It's fodder for the idea bank.
As a writer, Elyse is in love with pithy dialogue and dry humor. She dabbles in different genres including new adult, paranormal, urban fantasy, science fiction, and non-fiction. Some of her influences include Jim Butcher, Karen Marie Moning, Christopher Moore, and Brent Weeks. She is a huge fan of Kevin Smith and his quick dialog. Comics like Michael Ian Black and Mo Rocca from the VH-1 I love the 80s series and their dry, sharp commentary have helped her develop her voice as a writer.
