ZA WARUDO: WHY YOU SHOULD BE WATCHING JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE

PANEL ROOM (L006)

Saturday November 23, 2019 - 6:15 pm to 7:05 pm

Now that the fifth season of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure has concluded airing, it's a great time to jump on the Jojo bandwagon. If you love Jojo, you'll fit right in here. And if not, you're going to leave ready to jump into the first episode immediately.

With a successful manga series that's still running, iconic anime seasons, a lost OVA, and several video games and spinoffs, Jojo is a cultural phenomenon that's just starting to take hold in America with its recent runs on Toonami's programming block. While we're all awaiting the next anime season, which will adapt Stone Ocean and introduce protatonist Jolyne, myself and two other panelists will discuss why this blockbuster anime fandom is worth getting into, chat up its coolest characters, Stands, and memorable fights, as well as the video games and spinoffs it's spawned over the course of its 32 years it's been in the spotlight. This is an all-ages panel, with safe for work images via PowerPoint, and the expertise of two video game and anime media industry veterans with longtime acquaintance Issiah Davis along for the ride. This panel is a great way to learn what the show's all about in a nutshell, celebrate its zaniness, out-there fashion, and pop culture appreciation.
