MIDxMIDWST's volunteers will support staff, artists, sponsors, vendors, and fans in roles and areas across the festival footprint. Come with a smile and help us make sure that everyone at MIDxMIDWST has an unforgettable, exciting, fun, and safe time.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
*Must be at least 18 years of age.
*Must be staying in the Greater Springfield area during the festival.
*Priority is given to volunteers who register availability for multiple shifts and multiple days.
*Priority of volunteer roles and shifts are given to volunteers who register early - first-come and first-served.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a member of the volunteer team, roles will vary from helping set up the festival site, assisting with ticketing, keeping a watchful eye on various entry points, joining the green team to ensure a clean footprint, and a variety of other roles throughout the event weekend. All volunteer shifts are 4 hours in length.
WHAT DO I GET IF I VOLUNTEER?
All volunteers receive access to the festival and a MIDxMIDWST volunteer t-shirt to wear during your shift.
Everyone volunteering for one shift (4 hours) will earn a Weekend Pass.
Everyone volunteering for at least two shifts (8 hours) will earn an All Access Silver Weekend Pass.

Catering and Hospitality
Helps run the hospitality operations for multiple catering locations including staff and artists during the festival hours. Members could be doing anything from helping stock and maintain artist and staff refuel stations to providing customer service for the various clients, artists, and staff that have access to these locations. Strong customer service skills are a must. Lifting may be required.
Entry Tickets / Wristbands
Our ticketing and wristband volunteers will likely be the first exposure for many guests to the festival. They are responsible for selling tickets and ensuring a smooth flow and process for entry into the festival. If you have a radiant personality, are generally as stoked for the experience of others as your own and want to leave an immediate and lasting positive impression on festival guests, then this is the role for you.
Festival Activities / Setup
Helps set up, tear down and manage various fan interaction activities and stations - such as the merch tent - before and during the festival. This is a great role for anyone looking for potential variety in their volunteer shift. May include lifting and guest engagement.
Volunteer for the Green Team and help keep the footprint of MIDxMIDWST clean! The Green Team is dedicated to educating the attendees about recycling, compost, and the importance of environmental stewardship.
The Green Team will manage waste stations, overseeing responsible waste disposal (trash, recycle and compost) and waste diversion for MIDxMIDWST.
Street Team / Guest Services
The street team is available to help attendees throughout the footprint. This volunteer must have a keen familiarity with the festival footprint and a basic understanding to either help answer questions or know where to find those answers for guests. This position may require selling tickets by identifying attendees without wristbands and helping to sell them one. If you are outgoing, optimistic and a generally rad human who loves to have an active role in increasing the excitement and experience of guests during the festival, then apply for this role.
Acts as a fill-in volunteer wherever additional help and support is needed. The wildcard of our volunteers.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for those who are willing to take on anything and are looking for variety in the work that they do each day. Could require heavy lifting and attendee engagement.
