Volunteers should expect to have assignments for at least four (4) to five (5) hours each day they volunteer.

  • Hours Worked: 4-5 earns a 1 Day Complimentary Pass
  • Hours Worked: 12+ earns a Weekend Pass
  • Thursday load-in day earns a 1 Day Complimentary Pass

Reality Check: Sometimes first year volunteers have the idea that they can be assigned to spend their day with a favorite celebrity, which is NOT the case. The personnel who sit and work closely with celebrities are established "handlers" who specialize in providing assistance to the celebrities. Mobile Comic Con volunteer tasks that require close interaction with celebrity guests are assigned to trusted multi-year volunteers. To earn these coveted assignments requires you to be apart of the volunteer crew and handle your tasks with professionalism while maintaining a mature positive attitude as well as being trustworthy in behavior and communications. Volunteers are offered choices for which type of volunteer you'd like to be. This does not guarantee that you will be given the requested tasks. We accommodate requests based on the current needs of the convention to allow for a safe and smooth operation during the event.

Please feel free to email jputnoky@mobiconfoundation.org if you have any questions or concerns about volunteering.
